"Achieving Success by Learning Together"

Welcome to Year 3 Fox class!

My name is Miss Bartlett and I am the Year 3 teacher. With the help of Ms. Hazelwood and all the Foxes, this year is going to be amazing!

Spring Term is upon us – and what an exciting one it is going to be!

Our Topic this half term is World War II. The children will gain an understanding of what the war was, when it happened and how it impacted lives differently.

Our Literacy is linked to the Topic and the children are going to be learning about letters. We will focus on presentation, layout, content, first person and language. This will build up to the children writing a ‘letter to home’ from the perspective of an evacuee during the Second World War.

In Maths we will continue our focus on multiplication and division and extending the children by multiplying and dividing 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers. After this, we will move on to money.

P.E. days continue to be Tuesday and Wednesday so please ensure your child’s named kit is in school for both the PE days. On Tuesdays children will be doing tennis with Premier Sports and on Wednesdays it will be gymnastics with myself.

Forest Schools will take place this term for Year 3 and your children have been made aware of the timetable. There is a copy in the classroom window. Please make sure your child has suitable clothing for outdoor adventures!

I am very much looking forward to teaching your children this year! If you have any questions or concerns please email me on tiffani.bartlett@paddocks.suffolk.sch.uk to arrange a suitable time to meet.

Miss. Bartlett
