Welcome from the governors

Welcome to the area of the Paddocks website that gives you more information about the school's governing body.

We are a very committed and active governing body, volunteering our time to help to create and support a forward-looking strategy for the school.

As governors, we agree to do the following three things:

• Oversee the financial performance of the school and make sure its money is well spent
• Hold the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
• Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction

As well as fulfilling our duties by both supporting and challenging Mrs Thompson and her senior management team, we also take part in monitoring activities and progress in school.

Through their efforts, all staff and governors work together towards the shared aim of providing a safe and active learning environment in which all children can reach their potential, and have an enjoyable experience at Paddocks. 

As parents and carers, you are very much part of the whole school community, and your opinions and comments are very valuable to us. If you have any questions about what the governing body does, or would like to become a governor (or recommend someone in the community to become a governor), please email me.
